Job Title:  Project Manager II (Junior level)

 

Project:  CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) Government Agency

 

Location:  Baltimore, MD

 

Employment Type:  Full-time Paragon W2 Employment + Benefits

 

Salary:  Negotiable based on experience/skills

Full Job Description:

 

•     Monitor progress of key project milestones via status spreadsheets, MS project schedules, and other tracking mechanisms.

•     Participate in recurring status meetings and taking meeting minutes, maintaining the project risks, issues log, metric reports, and distribution lists.

•     Provide budget support with tracking, reconciliation, maintenance

•     Create PowerPoint presentations as needed for various 5010 project communications

•     Produce project and task deliverables on time with high quality

•     Schedule/Coordinate meetings and assist the project team in tracking and reporting on the progress and quality of the project deliverables, as well as assisting in consolidating the project team’s comments related to all deliverables. 

•     Participate in discussions and reviews aimed at development, testing, and implementation activities.

•     Create or update procedures and processes

•     Providing additional support to project team as needed

 

Required Qualifications

•     At a minimum a four year degree in a related field

•     No less than 3 years of IT Project Management experience , experience with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is a plus

•     Project Manager who is a self-starting, pro-active individual

•     Strong organizational skills

•     Ability to assimilate reporting on systems from various users and ability to pro-actively follow up with questions

•     Intermediate proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

•     Intermediate proficiency with MS Project, MS Visio

•     Must have life cycle support experience

•     Strong verbal communications skills, business/ technical writing skills

•     Strong organization and time management skills

•     Ability to work well with other members of a team as well as independently in customer environment

•     US Citizenship or Green Card required

•     Must be able to successfully pass a Public Trust Background Investigationsburk

 

Desired Qualifications

•     Knowledge of HIPAA EDI and the healthcare industry

•     Solid knowledge of CMS, with experience working on a CMS project

•     Knowledge of HETS 270/271 or other X12 transaction standards, TR3’s and Companion Guides
